You know the faster cure for cannibalism, right? Jumping on hotel beds! :D And maybe spongebob.

*sending good thoughts to your family that the utility companies get everything back up soon*

err, which is what I assumed you meant. otherwise, jumping on the beds of friends and family works, too. ;)

Oh trust me, there was jumping on hotel beds aplenty. :)

Mostly it's just a convergence of factors. Namely the Little Dude being out of school since Friday, the Wife's online class prof being a dick about acknowledging that 10% - 15% of the town is without power, and the usual financial woes. Add a spastic six year-old in a brand new environment and it's a recipe for cabin fever.

On the bright (?) side, I am but 100 yards away from my place of work. So Big Blue can keep on truckin' while humanity sorts itself out. Whee.

Hopefully the utility guys will be able to work faster now that the National Guard are helping clear the roads and stuff.

Total asshattery on the professor's part, though sadly, I can't say I'm surprised. Ike hit us on a Friday night/early Saturday morning, and my dad's radiation dr. got pissed we didn't show up that following Monday for treatment. We didn't know if the streets were even passable let alone if the medical center had power. (turns out it did, but it was all because of generators.) And yeah, I imagine it's not a fun situation with the kiddo. At least after the hurricane, my kids could go outside (or more accurately preferred to, since outside there was a breeze.) :/

Your son is so adorable. Maybe he acts like a demon (or so you've implied) but I have the luxury of not having to live with him. Wow, I've never needed to go to a hotel when the power goes out. We have a wood burning stove so we get by on that (even with power we use it, cuts down on the bills).

Hope your power returns soon.
